After-school care at BEE Actove is for children from 3 to 12 years.  The After- school care is located in the school. So children do not have to move from one location to another.

At this moment BEE Active is working together with the 'Nederlandstalige School in Madrid'. If you are the director of a school and are interested in BEE Active's after-school care services, please contact us without obligation and who knows, BEE Active might also come to your school!

 

Vision and mission

We strive to provide loving, responsible and high-quality after-school care for the children of the Nederlandstalige school. It is important for BEE Active that the children, parents and 'the team' experience fun.

For us it's very important that parents leave their children confidently at after-school care. Personal contact with the parents is fundamental. We love to share the development their children, besides, close contacted gives partens the opportunity to share their ideas. A good interaction between the parents and BEE Active influences the pedagogical quality. The regular exchange of information has a positive influence on the child's wellbeing. How does a child feel at care? What do parents get from home? What could possibly work better for the child in question and what is going well, etc.

 

Safety in the group is determined by the supervisors, primarily by me, Alfredo. I think it is important that the children build a bond with me and with each other. That there is emotional safety and that the children feel comfortable. 

BEE Active after school care is a Dutch-speaking childcare centre. Parents consciously choose to send their children to this childcare centre because of its Dutch-speaking identity. Therefore, only Dutch will be spoken. Because the children are raised in a bilingual environment, it is possible that the children speak Spanish to each other. The policy is that Dutch is spoken with each other. The children will be encouraged in this.

Our strength of our after-school care lays within the small homely groups, which allows us to offer care with a lot of personal attention. We start the afternoon with a snack every day. This is a recurring pattern and thus predictable for the children. If the children attend during school holidays and on days off, the rhythm may be slightly different.

Again, we strive to make the day predictable for the children so they know what to expect. During the afternoon their is room for personal wishes. Children's needs are different. Some need rest, others like to play together. They enjoy moving around, and in our opnion being outside with the beautiful weather of Madrid is important. We makes sure the variety of activities with the children that match their age and interests. 

Acitivities

You can also book various activities during after-school care. Your child can join us for different activities during the after- school care. Being on the move is important to us! That is why we offer various (outside) activities for children. They learn about different sports, but also how to work together as a team.

It's also a possibility for your child to have  tutoring classes with Renske. Children who grow up in a bilingual family sometimes have difficulty with one language. During tutoring, we can work on vocabulary, sentence structure, reading, conversation and practising for a test. Anything you as a parent would like help with, we can provide. Check our prices!
